SHOP SMALL ON HILLSBOROUGH STREET

Hillsborough Street is one of four streets in the original plans for Raleigh. The district runs 3 miles along the threshold to N.C. State University and consists of over 250 businesses including 60 food and beverage establishments, hotels, and retail.

Promoting our merchants for Small Business Saturday was a key function of my role during the fall.

I selected the video production company, scouted and secured locations, wrote the script, and had final edit on this 2017 video.

SUSTAINABILITY AT NC STATE

We needed a video that defined “sustainability” for N.C. State University. One that would work on the jumbotron at baseball, football, or basketball games, as well as in our social media campaigns.

These are actual students at actual campus locations using what was, at the time, the only Red One camera in Raleigh.

I scouted the locations, managed the budget, and coordinated the video release.

LIVE & LOCAL: HILLSBOROUGH STREET

Our research showed events drove upwards of 400% growth in sales for the merchants in the Hillsborough Street district.

I developed a series of spring and fall street festivals on this major city artery with multiple stages, hundreds of volunteers, dozens of vendors, and corporate sponsorship.

This video was shot and released on the same day in 2017 as part of the promotions campaign for the fall festival. We brought together band members of Bruce Hornsby, Ani Difranco, and the Average White Band to back up iconic Hammond B-3 virtuoso Ike Stubblefield.
